Departing from the star-studded lineup that marked the last week of shows, the finale, featured only Oprah. Winfrey used her final hour to stage a quiet, teary goodbye and thank you to her fans, sans giveaways.

She closed the episode by kissing and hugging her partner of 25 years, Stedman Graham, and saying goodbye to her staff as she walked the halls of Harpo Studios cheering, “We did it! We did it!”

It was also an opportunity for her to say it is by the grace of “God” her show is as succesful as it has been. She also thanked “Jesus”. Now we know she is definitely believes God is the one who guides us in life. Her final words which Naijagal would live by was:

“”People ask the secret of the show’s success, how have we lasted for 25 years? I non jokingly say: my team and Jesus,” said Oprah in what then became an increasingly religious show. “Nothing but the hand of God made this possible for me.”

Also “I won’t say goodbye. I’ll just say, ‘Until we meet again.’ God be the glory”

and do what you are called to do.

“It was just her the whole time, a recap of what she believed in, what we’ve given her as viewers and what she hopes she has given us,” says Nancy Evankoe of Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

And although this is the end of The Oprah Winfrey Show, it is not the end of Oprah, she was quick to remind the audience. “She said, ‘This isn’t goodbye. This is until we meet again,’ ” says Korin.

CANNES is a heady place to be at festival time – with random meetings going on all over the place.

‘Robert de Niro spotted actress Genevieve Nnaji – star of The Mirror Boy – at NOBU 3.14 and got chatting over sashimi.

I hear she’s tipped to be the next Bond girl.

De Niro always did have an eye for hot talent..’

hmmm well lets just see how this goes, James Bond in recent times has turned out to be more of a one woman man. Unless of course they decide to change this character back to how he used to be. Basically bedding all kinds of women. If that is the case then, GENNY we say get ready to say “James” from bed or what do you say?

Wow, Sarah actually came down to Lagos to view what the country had to offer within the startup tech arena.

Interesting you probably would not know this about Naijagal but I have been in the tech scene for quite a while now, specifically in Silicon Valley! So I can speak on this issue.

She is a Franco Nigerian journalist. Her mother is from Calabar and her father is from France. She presents the news from the daily morning papers on french chanel Canal. Not a bad gig if I may say so.

She was recently asked if she had indeed experienced racism in France.

Have you had to suffer from racism in France?

I’m an outlier. I was raised in an environment mixed with a Nigerian mother and a French father.  I was not focused on the color of people’s skin. I was like everyone else personal problems but I have not suffered from racism, not that I know.
